CODE OF CONDUCT
AND COSPLAY RULES

CODE OF CONDUCT

Wasatch Comic Con is a family friendly event for all ages. It is a chance for fans to meet with the creators of their favorite franchises, and a celebration of art and comics. It is with that spirit in mind that we have developed some simple codes of conduct for our guests and attendees alike.

No loitering outside of designated areas. The mall is still an active shopping complex with active businesses. Please be respectful of their need to do regular daily business.

Wasatch Comic Con is an open and friendly event to people of all genders, ages, ethnicity, sexual orientations, and interests. There will be no tolerance of discrimination or harassment at any time by our guests or our attendees.

Please be mindful of your language and do not use offensive language at Wasatch Comic Con. There will be many families and children in attendance.

Please be respectful to our staff. We are all fans trying to make something great. There may be confusion at times, and we are committed to making it the best experience we can for all involved.

Cosplay is not consent. There will be no tolerance of sexual harassment, physical or verbal, under any circumstances by attendee or guest. This applies to all aspects of the event including panels, workshops, vendor floors and all mall property. If you are not sure if it is appropriate, do not do it.

We will have clearly marked volunteers available at all times. Please utilize their services and report any violations of these rules or general issues.

Please attend our talk back panel Saturday night at 7pm. This will give you an opportunity to speak to the show runners and give all of your feedback, both positive and negative, so that we can continue to create the best experience possible.

COSPLAY RULES

All attendees in any cosplay must be registered and have their wristbands worn at all times when in the mall. All attendees may be stopped at any time by Valley Fair Mall security or by Wasatch Comic Con security to ensure that proper registration is in place.

All weapons must be checked at a weapons check booth upon entering the mall. Weapons will be tagged and the tag must be displayed at all times. Removing the tag at any time will result in expulsion from the event. Weapons can not be made of metal or hard materials that can be used to inflict injuries.

No guns or facsimile of guns are allowed, no matter how fake looking they may be.

All costumes must be family appropriate. Outfits may be as revealing as common beachwear.  Any attendee with an outfit deemed to be more revealing may be asked to leave and/or change. This applies to body paint as well. Appropriate clothing must be worn under body paints.

Bandanas are not allowed.

All cosplayers should use the main west entrance to the mall for ease of check-in.

Masks and face paint are okay as long as wristbands are worn and displayed at all times.
