Kaitlund Zupanic
Kaitlund has been working in the fantasy illustration field for over 10 years. Most of her work is ethereal fantasy, and illustration painted in oil, graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and digital painting. Her work focuses on color and atmosphere with themes spanning grief, loss, triumph, and the play of good versus evil and morally grey characters.
Having survived a severe car accident and stroke, Kaitlund brings the trials and tribulations of her life into her work in hopes of inspiring others to pursue their dreams despite obstacles.
At her Gallery and Studio at Provo Towne Centre, she teaches and interacts with the public daily. Working with up-and-coming artists to pursue their passions. Patrons and other artists can see where she works and view her illustrations in progress.
Through Provo Towne Centre, Kaitlund can do several events per year free for the public to help teach and spread the love of her creative passions.
Kaitlund has an applied associate degree in animation and has taken many oil painting courses with local illustrator and mentor Howard Lyon, along with other regional and nonlocal fantasy illustrators like Dan Dos Santos.
Her most significant achievements are her published works in Spectrum Fine Art 25, Infected by Art several years in a row with Bronze and Silver awards, and her covers and interior illustrations for The Dragonriders of Pern series, the first three books through Grim Oak Press.
Her two main projects are her illustrated anthology, which has spanned most of her work for the past 10 years, and her tarot card deck, which will be crowd-funded later this year.
